Hey I'm Rakib Ahmed, but you can call me Ricky! I launched my first professional website in 2016. I Designed & Developed it for a prominent client in the entertainment industry. I was 19 years old… A lot has changed since then… Now, with amplified aesthetics from getting extremely familiar with all graphic design, web and coding, I learned how to design & develop cleaner sites in all platforms.

NEWS // APP

Me and a team of other Developers came together to create an App called GoodMorning! It is a one stop shop for all your favorite trusted news sources, so you can view all your news in one convenient location! I was responsible for fetching the dynamic data to create the news article elements, and at first it was difficult because certain API's were clashing with Github's HTTPS Protocol and giving me an error of 426, which was pretty scary! However, I quickly learned which API's were better to work with and also how to make an API bend to my will. What's the news?!

CODE // QUIZ

I created a coding quiz that tests users on their knowledge of JavaScript! I had way too much fun with this project. At first I had some issues with my JavaScript, as my questions were not showing up so I ended up taking them out of my HTML and creating them dynamically with JavaScript createElement. After the functionality was taken care of, I made it mobile responsive and added some cool effects, Test your Knowledge!

WEATHER // APP

I Designed a Weather App in Figma then went right into the code and made it functional. This project was an interesting combination of everything we had done thus far, and also I decided to go a bit further while doing this project because I really wanted to include Google Maps, as I remembered during class the instructor searched a made up city named 'Foo'... which ended up being a real place! Everyone in class wondered where it was and so I decided I HAD to have Google Maps in my app for the best user experience! Check It Out Here!

FUTURE // SKILLS

Recently I have been researching motion graphics and SVG Animations to play on the web, and even making them interactive! I love how I can dynamically change the colors of the animation whenever I want, I can target each inidividual path and style it, and the best part is these animations retain their max quality no matter what resolution you're on!
